Challenges

Union Wine Company contacted me to audit the site and asked to revise the contents and add new features to create more engagement with customers. Also, they wanted to offer a support system for distributors and retailers that can download logos, labels, tech sheets and beauty shots.

Solutions

Based on the analytics reports, I re-organized the site map providing direct navigation access to those pages that can create high interaction with customers. Wine Finder, Field Note and Press pages are added to create more traffic and increase the conversion rate from social media marketing. I built the new trade section with a value proposition – “Easy access to help the Union Wine Community.” I allowed the image thumbnails to give clear understanding of what to expect and made well-organized contents, consistent layouts, and breadcrumb function help users navigate information efficiently.

Result

The competition between the company website and shopping site went away and the conversion rate from social media and field note (blog) was increased dramatically. Number of sessions per user and average session duration were incremented and the bounce rate was decreased. With the new trade section, the support emails from distributors and retailers are declined 3 times.
